Here in West Texas we have weather that is all over the place. One day it will be 75 degrees and sunny and the later that week we will have snow on the ground. HOWEVER, you should let that stop you from enjoying time in your garden. There are plenty of things for you to grow this time of year!

1. Onions
Wouldn’t it be great, next time you decide to make a burgers, Philly cheese steak, or a hot stew for dinner on a cold night, to have your own homemade onions?!? Onions are one of the best things to grow during the winter. They can survive the temperature and they are great for all your winter dishes. Not only is kale considered a superfood (packed with needed vitamins) it is also extremely versatile. Obviously, you can use it in a change up of your every day salad, but you could also use it in Kale Chips and have a healthy alternative to your afternoon snack. Never grown kale?
